Article Spinning Software takes an original article and spins to create 10’s or even 100’s of new versions of the author’s original article. This is done so to allow authors to syndicate multiple versions of an article that will pass Google’s duplicate content filter and thus achieve multiple inbound links and enhanced search engine visibility for the website, product or cause the article is promoting.

Why Does Google Filter Content

Filtering content raises the user experience, if you were to search Google and be returned the exact same information time and time again you would soon tire of it and move your search to another search engine. Content is filtered to provide a wider selection of unique results relevant to a search query that provide a much broader number of distinct results, opinions and useful resources. The goal of Article spinning is to bypass this filter.

What Happens To Filtered Results

Google’s default search results are filtered for the reasons outlined above. To view unfiltered results navigate to the last page of results clicking on the link ‘repeat the search with the omitted results included ’which is normally located below the last results will switch the filter off . If your spun articles appear within the unfiltered SERPs it’s a good indication that your article spinning endeavors have failed in one respect, that is, to gain search engine visibility via multiple results.

Switching filters off is only an indication that an article has been filtered because of duplicate content issues; there is also Host Crowding to contend with. Host Crowding is a filter that limits the amount of pages that can be listed in search engine results from any single domain. Google currently sets that limit to two pages, these pages can be grouped together with most relevant result first the second result directly underneath and slightly indented or they could be pages apart.

Whether you are writing bespoke articles or using article spinning software it is always a good idea to check the level of competition for your target keyphrase on the site you intend to post your articles. Article syndication sites and directories attract thousands of new articles daily and there is a better than fair chance that there are already articles being hosted that target the keywords you wish to target.

“Article Spinning” site:ezinearticles.com

Entering the above search into Google will let you know how many pages there are on ezinearticles.com that already target the term ‘Article Spinning’.  You can amend the keyphrase and the website to tailor the search to your requirements.

Before you can make it into the Google results you need to be one of the first two results returned in the above search. To gain some idea of how difficult that might be would be to investigate the number and quality of the inbound links pointing to those pages and therefore the level of off page optimization required just to break free of the host crowding filter.  Article spinning software cannot help bypass host crowding in fact it might make matters more difficult if you are trying to spin an article that is already hosted and fail to make it suitably different.

Article Spinning Software and Competitive Keywords

This brings us neatly to the point of this post, is article spinning a viable technique to gain rankings for competitive terms. Well the available evidence would suggest otherwise, if you look at search results for competitive keyphrases there is no evidence of rankings being achieved by articles whether they are spun or otherwise.  I am talking about the really competitive terms that target keyphrases around mortgages, finance, real estate and a plethora of other competitive verticals.

The Proof Of The Article Spinning Pudding

But without any real research it is difficult to say whether article spinning versus posting multiple versions of the same article is the most beneficial way to syndicate articles. Well the only way to find out is to test it, and that is exactly what two authors who use article syndication have set out to do. Both authors are attempting to do is outrank each other for the term ‘Article Spinning’. One will use his spinning skills to create articles and syndicate them, the other will syndicate bespoke un-spun articles. The winner will be announced on May 31st 2010 in the forums at http://hubpages.com.

There are three different methods for getting into spidering search engines; free site submission, paid inclusion and links from other sites. Virtually all spidering SEs offer a free site submission. For most, you simply enter your url into a form and submit. Paid inclusion is normally not difficult, except for the credit card payment. For free site submission there is no quality control. The SE may send a spider to your site in the next few weeks, months or never. Typically with paid inclusion you will get a guarantee that the page you submitted will be included within a short amount of time.

Although it is easy to want to simplify search engine marketing by focusing all of your efforts on the biggest and most popular search engine, Google – it is business smart to avoid the temptation. Yahoo and MSN are prominent players in the search engine market and may possess hidden gems that could explode your business growth. Even more so, moving beyond the top three search engines is also important to extend your brand exposure on an international level.

Before you make the critical decision to hire or not to hire search engine marketing service providers, be sure you have weighed the pros and cons as they relate to your particular situation. After all, each and every woman-owned business is unique, so what works for one business owner may or may not be right for you.

Pay-per click advertising helps you get more traffic from search engines through advertising in search engine results. You pick terms that people search on. You bid a price per click on your ad that you are willing to pay. You ad shows up when someone searches on that term, and, if you’re lucky, they click on your ad and come to your website.

You cannot just practise SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) without some kind of experience or information to go on. The better information you have to go on will mean the better you are at optimizing your websites content for good search engine results & rankings. I have some tips and tricks you can use to start your SEO road to success and for the best results I’d suggest finishing off your website prior to submitting it to search engines, so no half finished websites or content would be acceptable.

1. One of the best tips many SEO professionals will give you is to not stuff your content with keywords you’re trying to target, but instead place the recommended amount of keywords which is around the 4% – 7% of your websites content – so the more content you have will mean more keywords according to the percentage.

2. Make good use of the heading tag. Insert a reasonable amount of keywords you’re trying to target with the obvious phrases and descriptions.

3. Choose your keywords wisely. There is no chance in this world you’re going to get to the top of page one on Google if you’re attempting to target highly competitive keywords such as “Coding” – but instead use more realistic keywords and phrases such as “Coding tutorials” or “Easy coding tutorials” and then in the long term who knows you may well be a big competitor to others for the keyword “Coding” as an example.

4. Many Search Engine Optimisation consultants will tell you that content is king. If you do not have enough content (being content that is well written and uses your keywords wisely) then you’ll not get very far when looking to get high in the rankings.

5. Back links are very important and should be worked on day in day out if you’re to rank highly for competitive search terms. The most highly ranked websites often have thousands of back links which ranks them well in big search engines. A good place to begin when building links is to submit to website directories and blogs.

In a competitive market, it is vital for every business to have a presence on the web and the design of the website is vital to its success. The internet is usually the first place that potential clients look when searching for a company to meet their requirements. A well designed, clearly presented and informative website will result in the desired first impression.

Sometimes businesses assume that the cost of high quality website design will be unaffordable. While increasing numbers of business owners are gaining a clearer understanding of a good website and its advantages, to a lot of people it just appears too expensive and complicated an option. However, it is possible to design and develop a quality unique website from as little as a few hundred pounds. A website can pay for itself many times over in the increased sales revenue that it can generate for the business.

As well as website design, a professional company will also be in a position to offer SEO or search engine optimisation services. It is a fact that potential customers will rarely search past the first page of results produced by a search engine, so it is important to make sure that the website promoting your business will be listed on the first page of the search results for your target key phrases.

You should aim for well designed and coded web pages and use keywords in the text that you think your customers would search for. In general, sites with plenty of content have been shown to perform better in search engine results, and it is important to achieve the correct balance between search engine results and designing websites that are easy to read and navigate. However, the single biggest factor in determining your rankings in the search engines will be the amount and quality of incoming links pointing to your website.

In order for a website to be an effective marketing and selling tool, both the website design and how it is marketed are important things to consider. Making sure that the website is optimised for SEO and building quality one way links from relevant sites are all factors that will help to ensure the success of your website and business. A professional website development company has the design skills and online marketing knowledge to design a site that will be a successful marketing tool for years to come.

If you want to increase your search engine ranking, you need to be very selective in choosing your keywords. That simple act can make the difference between a site earning a few dollars a day and a site earning hundreds of dollars a day.

Keywords, or keyword phrases for the purpose of this post is a better term to use, are one of the, if not the, most important attributes you can use for making sure that your business will be successful on the Internet. Keyword phrases are what people use when they’re searching the web. You’ve done searches yourself and every time you did the search engines went looking for good matches, so they can give you a selection of sites that meet your needs.

Although plenty of people do a single word search, it’s normally harder to get good rankings for simple single terms, especially in a competitive niche. Even phrases like credit card throw up 176 million(!) results so they are tough to do well for.

That’s where the keyword phrases come in. Credit card application, for example, has only 3,480,000 results. Still a lot, but much lower than credit card. Apply for credit card has just over 1,000,000 results.

And as long as there are good numbers of people searching for the phrase, the longer phrases are very often much easier to get ranked for. For example, there’s a 3 word phrase one of my sites ranks for and I get #1 in MSN and #5 in Google. Those 2 results bring me in steady traffic and steady revenue.

If your site uses such keywords it can be much easier to get near the top of the search engine results – especially if you know the right way to implement a link-building campaign.

When you’re writing articles you should think about a range of keyword phrases you want your sites to be ranked for. Using some of the keyword phrases in the article is a good start, but in your call to action, your resource box, be sure to use the main keyword phrase you want to rank for. Use it as the anchor text to your site. If you’re not sure what that means, here’s an example for this post:

Learn how to make a good keyword selection

In the example above I used keyword selection as the anchor text. Used in that way it tells the search engines that the website/page it links to is related to that phrase. A single link as I have here probably won’t make me appear very high in the search engines for that phrase, but if I undertook an article writing campaign using that phrase this post would rise up the ranks of the search engines. Any time somebody looked for keyword selection my post would be there.

When you are choosing your keywords spend some time checking the top 10 results in each search engine to see what your competition is. No point trying to take on sites that already have thousands of links with that anchort text – it would be too hard to climb the search engines with that much competition.

After choosing the main keyword phrase to target you should also pick several variations. Try to create new articles based around the various keyword phrases, remembering each time to use the main keyword phrase that you’re writing about as your anchor text. That way you have a chance to appear in the search results for a number of keyword phrases, thus ensuring more traffic.

Is there an easy way to do Keyword Research?

Well, it can be time consuming to do the research on keywords and to find out where the competition is. I use a special keyword suggestion tool to do my research. For ploughing through the numbers and giving you the data you need to outflank the competition, this keywords tool is fast and easy to use.

One thing that is true is that if you do more work in less time you can get more of the results in the same time. That means if you find a way to lower how long it takes for doing research as well as improving the quality of the research, you should get much better results in the same time as you now spend.

That’s got to be worth trying, hasn’t it?
