Twitter.com has carved itself a lot of attention this year with a frenzy of celebrities mentioning Twitter on their television shows , and marketing experts saying that you can use Twitter to create hundreds of followers , the exposure to Twitter is pretty high. You almost certainly know people on Twitter and your major suppliers have probably asked you to be their Twitter fan . And that last point is what I want to mention today . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?
Twitter doesn’t look like it will disappear any time soon. In the meantime some are jumping on the band wagon, while others sit in the sidelines bemused.
Despite what you think of Twitter for yourself, there are opportunities you should deploy and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. The least you’re likely to achieve is a handful of great relationships , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. I mean a few people are just going to wonder if your business (or you) are on Twitter and type in twitter dot com slash acme widgets. Now it will be embarrassing is a cyber squatter is sitting on your own name, so another good reason to make sure you secure your place in the Twit’o’sphere. (By the way things can be done about cyber squatters, just ask me.)
We have other articles on getting targeted traffic, but let’s look at something we can do in ten minutes We’ll take a more detailed look at finding fans but first let’s explore a quick and easy option.
Some business owners perceive Twitter traffic as coming from within Twitter itself . A concept most Twitter directories promote . But with Twitter , the advantages of having your existing traffic join you on Twitter are plentiful . So beneficial that we need to start integrating immediately .
A very quick solution is to add a Twitter “badge” to your web presences . A badge is just an image showing who you are on Twitter with a link direct to your Twitter profile. In the videos I mentioned earlier , you’ll discover a lot more , but the badge we can do now .
WHERE CAN I CREATE MY TWITTER BADGE?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge at zero cost from this website ;
http://www.TwitterDominator.com/followme_badges.php – FollowMe Twitter Badge .
You simply paste the HTML code it provides in to your website, store, or blog and your customised graphic with active link, will magically appear .
It also works on Wordpress blogs. I’ve inserted them on my own blogs.
The Badge is sealed in its own little HTML DIV tag so should integrate easily almost anywhere.
If you create a table or div tag to position it in , then you can just paste the code in verbatim . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.
Integrating your Twitter page with your existing web properties is an essential strategy. One you can do in the next 10 minutes, with a few mouse clicks,
