Alcohol misuse causes your heart rate to quicken and you may feel a warm glow. This is caused by alcohol making tiny blood vessels in the skin expand, allowing blood to flow closer to the surface and lowers blood pressure.

Effects of alcohol include slowed breathing and heartbeat, loss of consciousness, impaired judgment leading to accidents and injuries, anxiety, suffocation through choking on your own vomit and potentially fatal alcohol poisoning.
Heavy drinking increases your calorie intake. There are 125 calories in a medium-sized (175ml) glass of wine and in a bottle there are over 500 calories!

Aclohol misuse can cause you to get a hangover the next day. You may experience sickness, nausea stomach ache, and sometimes diarrhea, Aclohol abuse also dehydrates you. Aclohol consumption can also make you feel upset and guilty.
If you drink over the recommmended daily levels often you are putting your health at risk. Alcohol abuse in large quantities increases blood pressure.
Aclohol misuse is frequently related with mental health problems. It has been found that people with anxiety or depression were twice as likely to be problem drinkers.
Big quantities of drinking may sometimes cause ‘psychosis’, a bad mental illness where the person beleives others are plotting against them. Heavy drinking may lead to lonliness and depression.
